Police in Sweden are investigating possible drone sightings in the south of the country. Flying objects were sighted in several places in the Skåne region on Saturday night, police reported. According to media reports, this allegedly happened near a nuclear power plant and at Malmö airport. A police spokeswoman initially did not want to go into details.
“I cannot confirm specific locations,” a police spokeswoman said Saturday morning. Police have documented the cases and will now investigate them. The investigators are investigating both a possible violation of aviation regulations and safety regulations.
According to researchers, it is still unclear whether it was a drone. Regarding information from the Swedish news agency TT, according to which investigators are also investigating whether there are connections with a foreign actor, the police spokeswoman said: “It is still too early at the moment. We must first analyze what we have seen.” (SDA)
