Ramzan Kadyrov, the ruler of the Chechen Autonomous Republic, has repeatedly made extreme and aggressive statements since the start of the war in Ukraine. Now the hardliner, who was promoted to colonel general by Vladimir Putin in early October, is launching a new series of shady statements.

In a video published on Telegram, Kadyrov shoots at Ukraine and the West. In doing so, he reveals – once again – his distorted world view. His statements have been translated by the Ukrainian news platform Trukha News.

About the war in Ukraine, the 46-year-old explains that his soldiers “attack every day and destroy the Ukrainians every day”. And further:

Not only the Donbass and southern Ukraine are Russian territory, but also Odessa, Kiev, Kharkiv and all other regions. All of Ukraine is Russian territory. “And if you don’t understand that, you must understand now.”

Kadyrov is also targeting the West again. The strict Muslim ruler calls, among other things, for “jihad against Western Satanism”.

Kadyrov’s criticism of his allies is a little less vicious. But, as he has stated several times, the 46-year-old is also dissatisfied with Russian warfare: “We used to say that we were conducting a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, but the war is already taking place on our territory,” he says. on his Telegram channel.

While martial law is already in place in the annexed regions, Russia’s response to Ukrainian attacks there has been weak. In retaliation, Kadyrov demanded that Ukrainian cities be wiped out “so we can see the distant horizon”.

While the leader of the “Kadyrovites”, like his troops, who are also active in the war, spoke to the public, his soldiers took a heavy blow. Ukraine said it hit more than 100 Chechen soldiers in an artillery attack on Tuesday evening. About 30 were killed and 100 others buried under the rubble.

According to Ukrainian military governor Serhiy Chlan, Kadyrov’s troops have acted amateurishly. After the soldiers withdrew from Kherson in southern Ukraine and were stationed in a town across the Dnipro, they posted selfies on social media. As a result, the Ukrainians would have recognized where the troops were. “Our troops just had to hold on,” Chlan said.
