Shotgun is fired in clash, injuring two women in London

Shots were fired on Friday when a gun was fired during a chase in London, slightly injuring two uninvolved women.

The victims, aged 27 and 36, have now been released from hospital, police said on Saturday in the British capital. A 27-year-old pedestrian who was hit by the escapees on a moped also left the clinic.

Police officers chased two people on a moped who failed to respond to requests to stop in Clapham County on Friday afternoon. During the chase, the vehicle struck a passerby and quickly fell to the ground, police said.

“Officers determined that one of the suspects was in possession of a shotgun, which discharged when it fell to the ground as the suspects fled on foot.”

No arrests have been made so far, it was said on Saturday afternoon.
