Freakout in Thailand: Swiss Manfred K.* (45) attacked a woman who was relaxing with a friend on the stairs of his beach villa. The evidence is clear: the Swiss filmed the crime themselves. You see the man walking angrily through his garden in the evening. He walks straight towards two women sitting on the steps to the beach. He then kicks one of the two women in the back and curses. “Get the hell out of here,” the man shouts angrily.

The incident took place on February 24 at Yamu Cape beach in Thalang district. The woman who was attacked had gone out with friends that evening. After having dinner together, she and a friend wanted to end the evening on the beach. To rest, the two women sat on the stairs, the attacker’s father reported on Facebook. Shortly afterwards the angry Swiss came and attacked her.

After the attack, the women sought help. The police responded and determined that both parties had committed a criminal offense. The Swiss for the attack, the Thai for entering areas. The Swiss and the doctor tried to reach an agreement on the spot. Without success.

“I also have proof of that”

That is why the Thai woman filed a complaint against the expat, who allegedly runs an elephant sanctuary. As part of the investigation, authorities discovered that the stairs were not on the Swiss’ property, but on public property. That is why the steps must now be removed, the ‘Farang’ reports. He denies attacking the Thai woman. He claims he slipped. It was not an intentional kick, but an accident.

He now repeated this version at a press conference, local media report. “I still stand by my statement that I did not intend to kick her in the back. It was an accident because I slipped. I also have proof that I slipped because my finger was also injured.”

“I didn’t know she was a doctor”

He loves Thailand. “I’m Swiss, but Thailand is my home.” He was simply angry because people kept trespassing on his property. “Two weeks ago, about seven Chinese even broke into the area around the villa and the swimming pool.”

K.’s wife, a Thai, also spoke. She also lost control and panicked because she thought Chinese had entered her property again. ‘I didn’t know she was a doctor. If I had known, I would have asked her to go to our villa and have a drink.” Ultimately, the couple apologized and expressed regret. The investigation is ongoing.
