Europa-Park will open its doors on March 23 for the 2024 season. After two years of construction, the park’s 20th theme area, Croatia, will also be accessible to visitors for the first time. The main attraction: the new mega-record roller coaster “Voltron Nevera”, inspired by the Croatian inventor and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla. The final tests are currently taking place on the circuit:
Records upon records
The ‘Voltron Nevera’ breaks several records and adrenaline junkies should get their money’s worth on the so-called ‘Multi Launch Coaster’. The steepest of the four “launches” has an angle of 105°, which is a world record. The train also has seven inversions, i.e. parts of the route where you are upside down. That is also a record. With a length of over 1.3 kilometers, it is also the longest roller coaster with inversions. Last but not least, the operators promise that you will be weightless on the track for 2.2 seconds at a time.
All this makes the “Voltron Nevera” a roller coaster of the so-called Stryker Coaster type, the first of its kind. The Stryker Coaster is a further development of the BigDipper, just like the Europa Park “Blue Fire” attraction.
Here the Europa Park owner family Mack tests the new roller coaster:
For the first time ever #VoltronNevera brought excitement and excitement to her first trip with the Mack family. 🎢 Soon you will also go beyond vertical! 🤩
