Horrible act in Germany: A 22-year-old man from Baden-Württemberg allegedly kidnapped a holiday acquaintance from Berlin and held him for several days in his apartment in the city of Kinzigtal. Several rapes are said to have taken place in the apartment. The police were able to free the tied woman and arrest the man, the police in Offenburg announced on Monday. The victim’s family and numerous friends had been searching for the 18-year-old Berliner since last Tuesday.
The young man is said to have driven to Berlin shortly before the kidnapping. He met the 18-year-old, whom he knew from the holiday, at her apartment. There he allegedly threatened her with a weapon, tied her up and then drove her to the Ortenau region.
He allegedly locked the 18-year-old in the apartment and held her against her will for several days. Several rapes are said to have taken place. The 22-year-old is already in custody. Further investigations are being conducted in collaboration with the Berlin police. (AFP/a)
