The incident took place in the Affenweng ski area in the Salzburger Land.

An angry 38-year-old skier broke the window of a ticket office at the valley station of the mountain railway in Austria’s Salzburger Land, injuring an employee. The man no longer felt like skiing and wanted to return his lift ticket.

The cashier in Affenweng im Pongau refused to take it back on Friday afternoon, angering the ski guest. When police arrived, the 38-year-old tried to escape and two passersby detained the rowdy man, authorities said.

The German smashed the window with his bare hand. According to the police report, the cashier, who is the same age, escaped with minor injuries. The violent skier was charged with property damage and bodily harm. (SDA)
