They wanted to watch the last game of their favorite team, but it turned out to be the last day of their lives. David H.* (†37), Ricky J.* (†38) and Clayton M.* (†36) met for the last time together with Jordan W.* in Kansas City, Missouri, USA on January 7. Watch the regular season game of the Kansas City Chiefs football team.
The evening ended in tragedy. None of the men came forward again. It wasn’t until two days later that the bodies of David H., Ricky J. and Clayton M. were found near Jordan W.’s home.
No murder investigations
The investigators do not know what happened that evening. The results of the autopsy on the bodies are still pending. Curious: According to his own statements, Jordan W. cannot remember well. “He was sleeping. “He was on the couch,” his lawyer told the New York Post. All he knows is how his friends left the house. His memory apparently only begins to recover when the police arrive.
Even more puzzling: according to authorities, there is no foul play. There is no investigation into Jordan W., says the responsible police chief. But what happened that night?
“They were his friends and spent a lot of time together.”
W.’s lawyer speculates that the friends may have been smoking outside or wanting to relieve themselves. A lot is possible. It is unclear what led to the death. Medicines may also have been taken. The lawyer does not rule out an overdose.
And he makes it clear: W. would have helped his friends at any time if he had known that they were not doing well. “They were his friends and spent a lot of time together.” He had also already bought tickets for everyone for the next football match next weekend.
Relatives still have an uneasy feeling. You don’t believe W. Especially not having spent two days on the couch without knowing his friends were missing. “He knew people were looking for them. He read messages from people looking for him. My husband knocked on his door for 20 minutes,” a friend of the dead woman wrote on Facebook.
And further: “Nothing fits together. Dave, Clay and Ricky deserve justice.” (ymh)
