Police officers cordon off a crime scene. Four people were found dead in a smoke-filled house.

The alleged perpetrator himself called the police and stated that he had killed the three and wanted to commit suicide, the police responsible said on Wednesday. When police arrived on the scene, they found the four dead. It is clearly a very serious and incredibly sad case, explains police officer Grete Lien Metlid.

The background remained unclear on Wednesday. The crime took place on Tuesday in the small community of Nes, about 60 kilometers northeast of Oslo. Police said a police officer was among the dead. The bodies were expected to be autopsied and formally identified on Wednesday. (SDA)
