They were best friends, went to private school together and later lived together in the same house. But at Christmas, an argument apparently escalated: Dylan T.* (23) attacked and killed William B.* (†23).
His body was found at around 11.30am on December 24 in a car park at Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff, a city in South Wales. This was reported by ‘The Sun’, among others. The background to the bloody crime is still unclear.
Grandfather was knighted
Dylan T. is no stranger to the region. He is the grandson of the Welsh entrepreneur Sir Stanley T.* (82), who built an empire in pastries. The assets are significant, reportedly around 230 million pounds, almost 250 million francs. The 82-year-old received several awards for his work and charity and was even knighted.
His grandson, like William B., attended the private school Cathedral School in Llandaff. The baker’s descendants then moved to a terraced house that belonged to his grandparents. T. had been living there for two years and his friend only recently arrived.
“Our beloved Wil was taken from us in such a cruel way”
Unlike his grandfather, he did not work as an entrepreneur, but is said to have earned his money as a programmer. His friend worked as a surveyor for a local real estate company.
Following the news of his death, B.’s family said in a statement: “Our beloved Will was taken from us in such a cruel and indescribable way. He was such a loyal, funny and caring son, brother and friend.”
The trial against the baker’s descendants starts next month. (ymh)
