It reads like a dystopian thriller scenario from a Netflix series: Nazis, influential millionaires, AfD members and sometimes even politicians from the Union of Values close to the CDU, gather in a remote place, in a beautiful villa in Potsdam. There they fantasize about deportation plans – just a few kilometers from the Wannsee villa, the very place where the National Socialists orchestrated the murder of millions of European Jews in 1942.
But none of this is fiction or an exaggerated parable à la “Babylon Berlin”. It is the reality, revealed by reporters from the investigative network “Correctiv”.
This is causing disgust among centrist politicians and throughout society. Celebrities also enter the barricades and, like presenter Ruth Moschner, call on people to sign a petition calling for an investigation into a ban on the AfD. Nora Tschirner, Bela B and Enissa Amani also support the call.
‘Zero interest in fascist structures in Germany’
Kurt Krömer is not there and yet the comedian has now come out with a message that follows the motto of a frontal attack.
The 49-year-old writes on his Instagram account: “My grandfather fled from Bohemia and Moravia to Germany. Unfortunately, I am not a “full-blooded German”. And I have no interest in fascist structures in Germany,” he begins his comments in a relatively innocent manner, but focuses on the Nazi rhetoric of the conspiratorial meeting.
Then Krömer, whose real name is Alexander Bojcan, becomes clear: “The fact that Björn Höcke has complexes because of his shrinking dick does not mean that an entire country has to suffer for it,” he shoots at the chairman of the AfD faction. the Thuringian state parliament.
Since the meeting in Potsdam discussed whether millions of Germans could be temporarily parked in a country in North Africa, Kurt Krömer takes this dubious idea further by asking ironically: “And if soon millions of friends of mine and I from Germany thrown out, can I emigrate directly to Bali or is it absolutely necessary to stop in North Africa?”
He then concludes his statement and appeals to society: “The silent majority must now slowly wake up, otherwise it will soon be 1933 again. And let’s be honest, ‘Heil Höcke’ really sounds shit.”
He then takes the Hitler comparison to the extreme with a closing sentence: “Hitler had only one egg,” Krömer said about the dictator Björn Höcke and the theory that the latter suffered from “shrinking dick complexes.”
Kurt Krömer is celebrated by his approximately 980,000 Instagram fans for his posts. More than 205,000 people “liked” his post, and the comments said it was “to the point” or “strongly agree.”
But there is also a different tone: uncertainty and fear that the parallels with the Nazi era are becoming increasingly clear and it slowly no longer feels like a distant, fictional scenario that fascists could come to power. This year there are three state elections: in Thuringia, Saxony and Brandenburg. The AfD has great chances of success there.
