American woman gets too close to herd of bison – that doesn’t suit them at all “Don’t go to bed”: what you can do about winter depression

Rebecca Clark, an American citizen living in Texas, went hiking solo in Caprock Canyons Park. In an attempt to walk past the bison, Clark got too close to the animals, as shown in her TikTok videos. One of the bison rammed into the walker:

The American had to be rescued from the park by helicopter and was treated at the hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. The bison injured Clark’s back, among other things.

“I was too close”

Bison are the largest land animals in North America. When encountering the animals it is important to keep sufficient distance. According to the Texas State Parks & Wildlife Department, raised tails, bowed heads and claws on the ground are signs that the animals feel threatened.

The video clearly shows how all these characteristics apply to the behavior of bison. In the description of her TikTok video, Clark can only sum up: “I was too close.” (vw).
