After days of speculation in the French media about a government reshuffle, Borne submitted her resignation on Monday. The presidential palace in Paris announced this on Monday.

In a post on Platform X, French President Emmanuel Macron thanked the former prime minister for her work. “Your work serving our nation has been exemplary every day,” the president wrote. “You carried out our project with the courage, commitment and determination of women’s states. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
