Boris Johnson is ready for a comeback

According to a fellow party member, British ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson (58) is ready to renew his candidacy for the position at the top of the government. Johnson said he was “ready” and wanted to participate, Conservative MP James Duddridge (51) told Sky News on Friday evening. Several media outlets had previously reported that Johnson was interested in running for office. Several cabinet members have already spoken out in favor of the 58-year-old’s return.

Johnson did not resign as prime minister until early September after numerous scandals. He was returning from a vacation in the Caribbean.

Johnson splits party

Although the infamous ex-Prime Minister himself did not say a word into the camera, a not to be underestimated “bring back Boris” camp has already developed in his party in Westminster on Friday. They oppose terrified opponents of this idea, for whom, according to reports, a comeback of the scandalous politician would mean the ‘end of the conservative party’.

Johnson’s successor Liz Truss (47) announced her resignation on Thursday after six weeks in office and is preparing to become Britain’s prime minister with the shortest term in office of all time. Lacking solid counter-funding, their radical tax-cutting program had thrown the financial markets into chaos. When her cabinet collapsed and tumultuous scenes unfolded during a vote in the House of Commons, her fate was sealed. (SDA)
