“It was a split-second decision whether to stay where I was and burn or go with him,” Mia Schem, 21, recalled on October 7, when Hamas terrorists turned a music festival into a bloodbath. changed and took a young woman hostage. Sem was locked in a dark room for 55 days. Schem knew she had no choice but to accept the situation. “It is what it is, deal with it,” she told herself. “You will return home soon.” In fact, the Israeli was released on November 30. But despite her great relief, she feels guilty – towards the hostages still in captivity.
