About four months ago, the news of the gruesome death shocked the Lower Franconian town of Lohr am Main (D). A 14-year-old student allegedly killed another 14-year-old with a shot to the head.
The Würzburg Public Prosecutor’s Office has now filed charges: the German is accused of murder. A spokesperson for the authority announced this on Tuesday. According to the public prosecutor, there is currently no reliable information about the motive for the crime, ‘Focus’ reports. The suspect has remained silent about the allegations since his arrest.
The murder weapon belonged to the neighbor
It is currently unclear how the teenager obtained the weapon. The nine millimeter pistol was legally owned by one of the student’s neighbors. According to the police, the 66-year-old neighbor had all the documents for the weapon. Moreover, his weapons were well stowed away.
Unfortunately, the neighbor could not be questioned about how the gun ended up in the 14-year-old’s hands. The 66-year-old was in hospital and died just weeks after the murder. However, he would have known the boy. According to “Focus”, the case is expected to be heard in the juvenile chamber of the Würzburg Regional Court. (gs)
