It is a real horror journey that more than 70 passengers had to experience on the high seas in Thailand – especially at Christmas.
A tourist boat that was supposed to take a group to the island of Koh Lanta capsized and sank. This is reported by online media Thailand Sun, among others.

Apparently, after about 40 minutes of the three-hour journey, the ship had already run into major problems, after which water leaked inland.
“It was a nightmare at Christmas,” one tourist who was on board wrote on Tiktok. She also criticizes the crew, who in her opinion should never have left. “It was windy and the waves were high,” the woman continued. Others who were on board see it the same way. According to another tourist, fear spread among passengers shortly after departure.
As another user wrote, eventually there was a loud bang, prompting the passengers to put on their life jackets.
Waves caused cracks in the hull
Although all the passengers were waist deep in water, they were eventually rescued by another boat, according to the report.
The National News Bureau of Thailand confirmed the incident in a statement. The ship capsized when strong waves caused a crack in the hull.
When they arrived back on land, the passengers were eventually welcomed by a hotel that gave them food, drinks and dry clothing. (dzc)
