A company Christmas dinner in France did not end well for dozens of employees. About 100 Airbus Atlantic employees fell ill after a Christmas lunch organized by the company, a spokesperson for aircraft manufacturer Airbus confirmed on Saturday.
Therefore, on December 15, they suffered from a foodborne illness. Airbus said all employees had recovered well. We are working with the responsible French health authority to determine the cause of the diseases.
French media, citing the Pays de la Loire health authority, reported that more than 700 employees fell ill after the company dinner. They had diarrhea and vomiting. The health authority initially did not respond to a request from the data protection authority. (sda/dpa)
