At a luxury hotel in Paris, guests lost a ring worth hundreds of thousands of euros. He was sucked in.

A ring worth 711,000 francs was lost at the luxury Ritz hotel in Paris – only to reappear two days later in a vacuum cleaner bag. Initially, an employee was suspected of stealing the ring, television channel BFMTV reports based on police sources.

The hotel guest had put the ring with a 6.51 carat diamond aside in the room during breakfast on Friday and called for room service. A report was then filed and the ring was reported stolen.

The precious piece of jewelry was found in the vacuum cleaner bag on Sunday, ‘Le Parisien’ and BFMTV reported, citing the hotel. The Ritz denies any attempted theft. (SDA)
