Two children and a young man were killed in a serious accident involving a wrong-way driver in the Netherlands. The parents of the children who died were seriously injured, the police announced on Sunday.

A 19-year-old man drove his car in the wrong direction late on Saturday evening near Amersfoort and collided head-on with the oncoming car of the family from Hilversum. The family’s two children, aged 12 and 14, died and their parents were seriously injured. According to the police, her condition is serious. The 19-year-old wrong-way driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries and died a short time later.
