A Thai para-athlete shot his bride and four other guests and ultimately himself at his own wedding. Police in the northeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima said on Monday that the reason was apparently a family dispute. Accordingly, Chaturong Suksuk shot not only his bride, but also her mother and sister. One of the other two victims, a guest, was struck by a ricochet.

“They had an argument and Chaturong went to his car, grabbed a gun and started shooting,” said police officer Matichon Wongbaokul.
The 29-year-old swimmer had won two silver medals at the Asean Para Games. According to local media, he lost his right leg while serving in the Thai army during a border patrol.
