It looks bad. There are pizza boxes everywhere. Apparently just thrown away. Not the waste from any festival, but supposedly from the Greens, who gathered in the exhibition hall in Karlsruhe on Saturday for their federal party conference. A heated discussion ensued – and of course that makes you hungry. And so apparently a lot of pizza was ordered in the end.
Soon after, the photo spread across the internet, sparking outrage and widespread criticism. “An unprecedented waste” is one comment. There is also talk of “double standards from the Greens”. The anger is great.
“The image is absurd”
But some are also skeptical. Can this be real? It is suspected that the image was fake and was created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). The sunflower pizzas in the background would look especially weird.
“The image is absurd,” the party said when Blick asked about it. “It was not included at the party congress. The room looks different.” The party cannot say whether it was actually created or simulated using AI. But it is definitely a fake. Pizza was ordered as part of the party conference. However, the boxes were neatly thrown away. (ymh)
