After his ex-girlfriend Cassie, two more women accuse rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexual abuse. In a lawsuit filed Thursday in New York, a woman named Joi Dickerson-Neal accuses the 54-year-old American rapper and producer of “drugging, sexually assaulting and abusing” her in 1992. He filmed the acts and distributed them as ‘revenge porn’.
Another anonymous accuser accuses Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall of raping her during a party in 1990 or 1991, Rolling Stone magazine reported Friday.
Just last week, Combs, who was also known as Puff Daddy, was sued by his ex-girlfriend over rape allegations in 2018. A day later, the two reached a settlement to dismiss the proceedings.
The backdrop to the wave of lawsuits in New York is the passing of a deadline in the Adult Survivors Act. The law gave adult victims of sexual abuse one year to file civil lawsuits for actions that were actually barred. That deadline passed on Friday.
Other celebrities who have recently filed lawsuits under the law include American actor Jamie Foxx, rock star Axl Rose and New York Mayor Eric Adams. (sda/afp)
