A serious accident occurred in the American state of Ohio on Tuesday.

Six people, including three teenagers, were killed in a traffic accident in the US state of Ohio on Tuesday morning (local time). Videos show a giant cloud of smoke billowing from a bus as it bursts into flames. Dozens of people try to escape the flames.

According to Ohio Highway Patrol, two cars, two commercial vehicles and a chartered bus with 54 students and companions on board were involved in the crash on a highway near the city of Etna, not far from the capital Columbus. What exactly caused the accident is currently under investigation, the police statement said.

15 minors in hospital

As US broadcaster CNN reported, the bus passengers were members of a school band from the northeastern Tuscarawas Valley school district, which was on its way to a performance in Columbus. According to the broadcaster, the deceased occupants of a car were accompanying parents and a teacher.

The police spoke of a kind of chain reaction in which at least three vehicles caught fire. According to police, six people were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident: two 18-year-olds and a 15-year-old passenger on the bus, as well as all three occupants of one of the cars, aged 56, 39 and 45. 15 students , their bus driver and two drivers from the other cars were taken to local hospitals.
