Severe turbulence on flight from Madrid to Buenos Aires

Twelve passengers were injured in severe turbulence on a flight from Madrid to Buenos Aires. Nine were treated after landing at Ezeiza Airport near the Argentine capital, airline Aerolineas Argentinas said on Wednesday. Three others have been taken to hospital for treatment. Apparently hand luggage had fallen out of the compartments, it was said.

The newspaper “La Nacíon” published photos of passengers with bandages on their heads and noses. The Airbus 330 had experienced turbulence over the Atlantic Ocean near Brazil. 271 passengers and 13 crew members traveled on the plane of the Argentine airline Aerolineas Argentinas. There was no major damage to the machine, the airline said. (SDA)
