Rebecca A.* (33) offered her services as a prostitute in the American state of Ohio. She met several men for sex in hotels and then got them to use drugs with her.
She gave the men an overdose of fentanyl. In four cases they did not survive the deadly drug cocktail. Rebecca A. then robbed the men.
Acting on an anonymous tip, authorities were alerted to her and were able to stop the woman and prove her connection to at least four deaths.
She mixed fentanyl in the crack pipe
On Wednesday, she was charged with four counts of murder, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost confirmed. She is also accused of killing a fifth man by overdose.
Investigators believe she has more victims on her conscience. “To me, someone who commits a series of murders separated by time is a serial killer,” Dave Yost told the Columbus Dispatch. “We have the same approach here.”
When questioned about one case, she admitted that she knew the man had overdosed and that she had mixed fentanyl in his crack pipe. But she still stole his car and his bank card.
Investigators believe there may be more victims and are searching the records for similar overdose deaths. At the same time, they are calling on anyone who has survived an encounter to come forward, without fear of criminal prosecution, if they have offered sex. (neo)
