US stock markets: Dow Jones ends trading at lowest level since May No protection for Apple’s word mark ‘Face ID’ in Switzerland

US stock markets closed on Monday with different signals. While Wall Street continued to fall after last week’s decline, the Nasdaq indexes rose slightly. The Nasdaq is often referred to as the ‘technology stock exchange’.

The focus was mainly on returns on the US bond market, as the yield on trend-setting ten-year bonds temporarily rose above five percent for the first time since 2007. When things returned to some extent, US stock markets, which had initially been weaker overall, stabilized.

At the same time, concerns about an escalation of the Gaza war remained present in the market. Moreover, towards the end of trading, the focus was already on the major US technology companies that will present their quarterly reports later in the week.
