Delegates of the Armenian community in Switzerland met with Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis on Friday. They welcomed the humanitarian aid guaranteed by Switzerland, but called for a clear condemnation of Azerbaijan’s attack on the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

In a statement on Monday, the Armenian delegation welcomed the assurance of humanitarian assistance for the refugees in Nagorno-Karabakh. However, she called on Switzerland to describe Azerbaijan’s attack as a “crime against humanity” and condemn the state for the “ethnic cleansing” that followed.

The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) recalled its priorities: a ceasefire, humanitarian access to Nagorno-Karabakh and return to the negotiating table.
