After an explosion at supplier Chuo Spring in Aichi Prefecture, there were problems obtaining parts. The accident occurred the day before at one of the supplier’s factories.

Toyota wanted to see on Wednesday whether the affected production lines could be restarted. Toyota has 14 assembly plants throughout Japan that produce cars for both the domestic and foreign markets. Toyota recently had to halt domestic production for a day due to a server problem. The next day production was increased again.
