That’s why Trump didn’t wear a mask: his ex-adviser reveals strange reason “The situation is cruel”: Pope denounces indifference to the plight of migrants

At the beginning of 2020, the coronavirus spread worldwide. But then US President Donald Trump thought he was safe: The virus will disappear soon.

Three years later, the pandemic ended. More than a million people died in the US. The Trump administration has been repeatedly criticized for its handling of the crisis.

The ex-president himself did not take the danger particularly seriously. He refused to wear a mask during the pandemic and downplayed the life-threatening consequences of the virus.

Scenes went around the world, such as when he asked journalists at a press conference to take off their masks when they spoke. The now 77-year-old visited a mask factory without wearing a mask himself. He mocked his then-rival Joe Biden for always wearing a face mask in public. Trump’s doubts about mask protection were loud and clear.

It quickly became clear: Trump was not a fan of wearing anything on his face – to protect those around him. But apparently there’s a much more banal reason for his mask phobia, as a former employee has now revealed.

Former Trump adviser reveals explosive details

Cassidy Hutchinson worked as a former adviser to Trump in the White House and was considered the chief of staff’s closest aide. In her new book ‘Enough’ she describes her journey from Trump loyalist to key witness in the investigation into the storming of the Capitol.

In her book, for example, she reports on the visit to the ‘Honeywell’ mask factory, as the ‘Independent’ reports. The World Health Organization declared a pandemic a few months ago.

During this visit, as previously mentioned, Trump did not wear a mask. In a small sideways move, the company played a cover version of Paul McCartney’s song “Live and Let Die” in the background at full volume during his visit. But back to Hutchinson’s story.

How masks damage Trump’s ego

According to Hutchinson, Trump “chose a white mask” and then asked his aides what they thought. “I shook my head slowly,” she recalled, according to the Independent. It continues: “The president removed the mask and asked why I didn’t think he should wear it. Hutchinson pointed to the straps of her N95 mask, prompting him to look at his own mask, whereupon Trump “saw that they were covered in bronzer.”

“Why didn’t anyone tell me that,” he allegedly said.

“I’m not wearing this thing.”

In other words, Hutchinson claims Trump refused to wear a face mask because his bronzer showed up on the tapes. It is believed that Trump likes to overdo his makeup. In the past, photos of Trump showing significantly lighter skin color at the edge of his face have provoked ridicule. Tan or make-up streaks are also often noticeable.

“The press criticized him for not wearing a mask,” the former Trump adviser’s book says. His “deep vanity” simply made him reject masks – and millions of his fans followed suit, Hutchinson explains.
