A Swiss retired couple was brutally attacked at a campsite in France: a man stabbed the couple in mid-September, seriously injuring them. This was reported by the French news portal ‘ici’. The attacked pensioners are still in hospital in Sète.

It didn’t happen at a campsite, but in the naturist village of Cap d’Agde in the south of France. The place is popular not only with nudist families, but also with swinger couples. On the day of the attack, a Blick reader reporter from the canton of Bern was also on site. He reports on a mega police operation.

“I was having my morning coffee with my wife when suddenly five vans stopped,” the reader told Blick. The police officers got out and frantically asked if they had seen an African with dreadlocks. “Unfortunately we had to say no.” While he and his wife were unaware of the crime, other campsite visitors were awakened by loud screams.

“You’re just not safe anywhere anymore”

As the report shows, the police were finally able to catch the perpetrator. Apparently it concerns a homeless man (30). After making confusing statements in police custody, he was eventually arrested and admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

According to witnesses, he slept in a sleeping bag and “talked to himself” on the infamous “pig beach” near the nudist spot. According to prosecutor Raphaël Balland, a psychiatric report is now being drawn up that provides information about his judgment and possible pathologies.

The Blick reader can hardly believe that he and his wife were on holiday in the immediate vicinity of a stabber. “You are simply not safe anywhere anymore,” said the Bernese. They left shortly after the crime.
