Spanish police have arrested at least three unnamed Real Madrid youth players. This is reported by the Reuters news agency based on the Spanish newspaper El Confidencial.
The three players allegedly distributed a sexual video showing a minor, a police spokesperson said on Thursday.
The arrested are players from the Youth Academy, the reserve team and the third team. The investigation began when the victim’s mother filed a report with the police in the Canary Islands in early September.
According to the spokesperson, the main suspect is the player from the C-team. He allegedly had a sexual relationship with the 16-year-old victim and filmed it. The other two suspects then allegedly shared the video via WhatsApp.
