With “Zunge”, Lindemann released the first single after the allegations and provoked the Swiss technology found in Putin’s killer drones: What is the federal government doing about it?

In May, Shelby Lynn of Ireland got the ball rolling and developed into a massive avalanche. The avalanche hit Rammstein and especially frontman Till Lindemann. Further accusations and even investigations followed. At the end of August, however, all proceedings in Germany and Austria were discontinued. It is unlikely that Lindemann will face criminal consequences.

However, the reputational damage remains. After Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe reported a spongy message on Instagram, rumors even surfaced that the band wanted to separate from Lindemann. Lindemann has now released a new single and the accompanying video clip will premiere on YouTube on Friday at 3 p.m.

The piece is called “Tongue”. Lindemann sings about the muscular organ with which you form words: “My tongue has no bones, so I say what I want.” And then he sings:

The beautiful word was always my enemy
So many words that are not meant that way
So much language, so mean
So many cried so much

More scares at 3 p.m

Lindemann must have expected the release of this song to cause quite a stir. In fact, Rammstein’s frontman wrote the song before the allegations. However, the current publication suggests that it is nonetheless a Lindemann statement on the discussion.

As expected, the three teasers for the video clip that Lindemann has published on Instagram show a lot of tongue, a tiger and the singer in a cage. At 3 p.m. we’ll see how far Lindemann goes with his latest provocation.

The premiere and full lyrics

There is a hole in the face
That’s the mouth you speak with
A word falls from the thought
The tongue provides word transport
With every answer I look for questions
Got to say everything, now and always
I can pronounce them or sing them
Force the words

My tongue has no bone
And so I say what I want
Oh my heart, it’s broken
But it still beats, never stands still
My tongue

There is a hole in the face
Because without language it is not possible
But it happens that someone is wrong
When heart and mind are so confused
I have to say, I can’t contain myself
It’s the wind under my wings
Is the storm under my wings
Force the words

My tongue has no bone
And so I say what I want
Oh my heart, it’s broken
But it still beats, never stands still
My tongue

The beautiful word was always my enemy
So many words that are not meant that way
So much language, so mean
So many cried so much

My tongue has no bone
And so I say what I want
Oh my heart, it’s broken
But it still beats, never stands still
My tongue is trapped
And she can’t free herself
Whitening my teeth
can’t sing
Don’t even shout
