Renewed trouble over rabid bouncers in Mallorca: Police arrested two security men at a club in Magaluf west of Palma on the Spanish holiday island, some of whom allegedly brutally beat three tourists. The responsible judge has ordered custody of one of the two, regional media reported on Monday with reference to the authorities. This bouncer seriously injured one of the holidaymakers. The second man has been released on conditions. The police will confirm this information upon request.

The attack reportedly took place on the night of July 11. A bouncer is said to have kicked one of the three holidaymakers, who was already unconscious on the floor, several times in the head. The victim was therefore taken to hospital. His two companions – a man and a woman – were slightly injured in the altercation. The attack was captured by security cameras. It was not initially known what the argument was about and where the attacked tourists came from.

In Mallorca, especially on Playa de Palma with the famous Ballermann to the east of Palma, such attacks by bouncers on tourists have increased in recent weeks. (SDA)
