Russia condemns the Ukrainian drone attack on two buildings in Moscow

A few hours earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that it had thwarted “an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using drones.”

The Russian capital suffered a drone attack on two non-residential buildingsas reported by the mayor this Monday MoscowSergey Sobyanin.

“Today, around 04:00 (01:00 GMT), drone attacks were reported on two non-residential buildings. There was no major damage or casualties.Sobyanin pointed out on his Telegram channel.

Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have thwarted “a an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack with two drones against installations in the Moscow area”. He further indicated that “two Ukrainian drones were intercepted by means of electronic warfare and shot down.” The department headed by Sergei Shoigu assured that there were no casualties as a result of the “suppressed terrorist attack”.

The latest attempt to attack Moscow came on July 4, when the defense claimed to have thwarted a terrorist attack by five drones launched by Ukraine against New Moscow, an administrative district of the Russian capital and the Moscow region. Previously Russia reported on June 21 about the downing of three drones that were trying to attack facilities in the capital.

Two of the most notorious successful attacks on the Russian capital occurred in May, one on several residential buildings that caused “minor damage” and the other on the dome of the Senate Palace, which is part of the Kremlin complex on Red Square.
