This is what a gathering of anarchists looks like It’s not the Quran that calls for violence, it’s the power-hungry mullahs that fuel it

The 5,000-strong village of Saint-Imier is currently barely recognizable. Thousands of people march through the normally sleepy streets for five days. Everywhere in the village and in the surrounding meadows people sit in a circle, deep in discussion. If you don’t speak, listen. Listen to others giving speeches or playing music. Still others tinker or just lie down.

It is not hard to see that these people are not from here. They all attend the international anti-authoritarian meeting, which runs from Wednesday to Sunday. Between 2500 and 4000 anarchists from all over the world are expected. You can see in the video who these people are and why they traveled to Saint-Imier.

The community in the Bernese Jura is considered to be the cradle of this movement. In 1872 the anti-authoritarian International was founded here. This event marks the birth of the anarchist movement.

The program includes 268 conferences and workshops, 48 concerts, 42 films, 11 plays, 7 exhibitions and a book fair. Divided over twelve locations in the city.
