Since video of a suspected lion sighting in southern Berlin emerged Thursday, officials have joined forces to search for the escaped wildcat.
But, as the Brandenburg police have now announced at their press conference, the animal they have seen is most likely just a wild boar – contrary to yesterday’s estimate. Mayor Michael Grubert to the media:
Two experts independently analyzed the video material and both assumed that a wild boar was scratching a tree.
