Five young men from Dortmund, all aged between 21 and 23, are detained in Mallorca: The serious accusation: They allegedly raped a German tourist (18) from Hanover.
Now detectives are trying to shed light on the dark party night that got so out of hand on Wednesday. On Thursday, investigators secured traces in rooms 322 and 323, which were booked by the Germans at the hotel “Occidental Playa de Palma”. They apparently find traces of the suspect’s semen, Bild reports.
Consensual sex on the beach
The “Mallorca Magazin” was able to learn more about the alleged course of the crime in judicial circles: the later victim and one of the men met at the Ballermann, drink a lot of alcohol and get along well. The two get closer, go to the beach, have consensual sex there.
When the man wants to take her to his hotel, the young woman is rejected at the reception – so he moves to the nearby hotel where his friends are staying. A weighty decision: the two have sex there again, but now the friends of the Dortmunder enter the room.
18-year-olds may be in shock
As of now, according to “Mallorca Zeitung”, the versions diverge. While one of the men lays down on the couch and falls asleep, the other men also want to join in. According to her statement to the investigating judge, the woman initially agrees, but then changes her mind.
She does not say so, she reports later in her interrogation, but she does not want to have sex with the men. The “Mallorca Zeitung” writes that she may have felt some kind of shock. One of the men is also filming with his mobile phone – all mobile phones are currently under police review.
One slept on the sofa
Now the woman flees into the hotel bathroom and the young men probably realize that all is not well. One of the men tries to calm her down and escorts her back to her hotel. There, the police are finally alerted, the woman is examined in the hospital and the men are arrested. The man who slept on the couch is released – apparently he didn’t notice and remained indifferent.
After two days in custody, the men are brought before the examining magistrate, and some are fighting back tears, according to “Bild”. They all talk about consensual sex. The video one of the men made should not clearly show what happened. The men face several years in prison. (new)
