German businessman Hans-Peter M. has been found dead in Pattaya, Thailand.

The brutal murder of the German broker Hans-Peter M.* († 62) in Pattaya, Thailand, causes horror. The missing German was found earlier this week in a freezer – dismembered into dozens of pieces.

Now the estate agent’s sons have their say for the first time. They assume the killers wanted his money. “Our father was regarded as someone with money. He was a source of money, drove an expensive car. That is clearly the motive’, Leon (21) and Louis (25) tell the newspaper ‘Bild’.

The family has been living in Thailand for about 20 years, the two continue. The parents are now divorced. The mother lived with the sons in Bangkok, the father was in Pattaya with his new partner. But he always supported the family.

“Something Bad Has Happened”

The eldest son is now studying in Portugal. When her father disappeared, the youngest son and the father’s partner searched for Hans-Peter M. “His girlfriend called me and said that my father’s mobile phone was off and that he had not received any text messages since that afternoon It was so inappropriate for him,” Leon told the paper.

When they still hadn’t heard from their father the next day, it was clear to them that “something bad must have happened”. They went to the police, who immediately started an investigation.

The sons do not know how their father knew the perpetrators. As a businessman, he met many people. “It could have affected any businessman. It was just bad luck that it happened to our father,” the sons are convinced.

Sons see father as an innocent victim

Pattaya is known for its many beaches – but also for prostitution and dark figures. Her father knew that. Most people would never even come into contact with the dark side of Pattaya. However, sometimes “a normal person suddenly becomes part of the dark world and falls victim” like their father, according to the sons. “He didn’t deserve this fate.”

In addition to a man from Pakistan with a Thai passport and the German Olaf B.*, a member of a rocker gang, the German event organizer Petra G.* (54) is the focus of the investigations. G., a woman known in Germany as a relevant fraudster, turned herself in to the police on Tuesday.

That can no longer help the father of Leon and Louis. “He was a great man that everyone looked up to,” they say. “We really miss him.” (zis)
