If you don’t like the meat in the cheeseburger, then the latest offer from Burger King in Thailand might be tasty. Because instead of meat, tomato, lettuce and a little cheese, there is now a burger with a lot of cheese. Specifically, 20 slices of cheddar cheese. A «real» cheeseburger.
However, the curious treat did not go unnoticed on the menu: thousands of Tiktok users have already tried the new burger, CNN reports. Burger King has confirmed on social media that the fuss about the new food on the menu is not cheese: “It’s not a joke. It’s real.”
“I like cheese, but that was a bit much”
The special burger has been added to the menu on Sunday. Initially, the cheese sample was offered at a low price, for the equivalent of CHF 2.70. But now the good part costs more. Specifically: CHF 9.50. Still, the demand is great. So many orders would have come in that the cheese stocks were no longer sufficient.
But for some, the cheese is too much. One customer who ordered the cheeseburger told CNN, “I like cheese, but that was a bit much.” And: “That’s an insane amount of cheese on a burger. I could only eat half.” Another customer said the burger was “too intense”. The hype is there, but hardly anyone really likes the cheese monster. “I don’t think I’ll order the burger again. I do like a few slices of cheese on my burger, but definitely not that much.” (lia)
