In the US-Republican competition for president, the date for the first preliminary decision has been set. On January 15, 2024, as is customary in Iowa, voters will decide their favorites at party rallies, the state’s Republican Party announced Saturday. At these meetings, the participants vote which candidate they find most attractive.
The Republican field is broad: former US President Donald Trump, his then Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, among others, have positioned themselves.
