The Brazilian women’s football team landed in Australia with a special plane for the World Cup. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is emblazoned with the words “No woman shall be forced to cover her head” and “No man shall be hanged for saying so.”
The tail fin has a portrait of Mahsa Amini on one side and Amir Nasr Azadani on the other. Mahsa Amini died in 2022 after being arrested by Iran’s vice squad. Her death sparked massive protests. Azedani is a former football player who was arrested during the protests and sentenced to a long prison term.
