Death of Nahel: the third passenger tells the “story from A to Z” No actors’ strike in Hollywood for now – further negotiations

A decided publisher is a version of the standards of the social contacts.
On French TV channel BFMTV, the third passenger in the yellow Mercedes in which Nahel died gives his version of the fatal shots.
“I tell you the story from A to Z”

One of the occupants of the vehicle that killed 17-year-old Nahel has published his version of events. To “restore the truth,” as he puts it. The news channel BFMTV aired the video.

According to the third passenger, the three young men met at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday in a Mercedes loaned to them.

«We decided to take a walk through Nanterre. Within a few minutes we were on the bus lane on Avenue Joliot Curie. We were driving when I saw police motorcyclists who started to follow us».

Riots in France

The police officers then turned on the blue lights. They demanded the vehicle stop, which the youths did, the third passenger said.

Subsequently, a first police officer would have asked Nahel to lower the window.

“He said to him, ‘Turn off the engine or I’ll kick you'”.

A second law enforcement officer came and hit him with the butt of a rifle. He was level with the windshield opposite Nahel.

“From there, the first police officer standing at window level puts a gun to his temple and says, ‘Don’t move or I’ll put a bullet in your head'”.

The third passenger testifies that the second police officer shouted “kick him” and another blow with the butt of the rifle followed. From there, versions of the car’s occupants diverge.

At one point, Nahel allegedly first turned off the engine while behind the wheel and then started the vehicle again, prompting the police to open fire.

For the passenger, however, it was a third shot of the rifle butt that Nahel received “that would have caused him to release the automatic transmission car’s brake pedal, propelling the car forward.”

“The second police officer standing by the windshield was shot. His foot pressed the accelerator. I saw how he suffered, he trembled. We hit a fence.”

According to BFMTV, passenger three says he fled because he feared he would also be targeted by police officers. The second passenger was arrested and taken to the police station.

Since then, France has spiraled out of control. Violent clashes broke out between protesters and police officers in several cities in France. In the night from Friday to Saturday alone, 45,000 police officers were on duty. The young man’s funeral will take place on Saturday, July 1.
