Among others, the “Cabinet de la Méridienne” – the name of the room refers to the beautiful sofa in oriental style -, the “Cabinet doré” and the library with golden decorations shine in new splendour.

The “cabinets intérieurs” extend over two floors. They are located in the main building of the palace behind the Queen’s “Grand Apartment”. Born Archduchess Maria Antonia of Austria in Vienna in 1755, Marie-Antoinette was considered an extravagant sovereign and trendsetter in fashion and lifestyle. She was beheaded during the French Revolution on October 16, 1793. The visit is only possible as part of a guided tour.
