Will the verbal exchange of blows between two competitors now turn into a physical fight? It sounds like a joke, but one of these two men in particular is capable of anything. This refers to meta chief Mark Zuckerberg (39) and Twitter buyer and Tesla boss Elon Musk (51).
It all started Tuesday when Musk responded to a tweet stating that Meta may be developing a Twitter competitor. Now the two Silicon Valley greats could soon face each other in the ring in Las Vegas.
“I’m sure the Earth can’t wait to be under Zuck’s only thumb and has no other options. At least it will be ‘reasonable’. I was a bit worried,” Musk mocked. The short message featured a smiling emoji.
Another Twitter user responded that since Zuckerberg practices jiu-jitsu, Musk should be careful. However, the Tesla boss is not a man who avoids confrontations. “I’m ready for a cage fight if he’s having fun,” the entrepreneur countered. Lol is the abbreviation for “Laughing out loud”. It’s a replacement for the classic “haha”.
Who has the best chance?
Zuckerberg didn’t let the SpaceX founder’s taunts sit for long. He posted a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with the words “Send me the location” on Instagram. A Twitter user then shared a screenshot of Zuckerberg’s post on Twitter Wednesday night, to which Musk replied, “If this is legit, I will.”
The tech news portal “The Verge” asked Meta what the fight was about. The answer: «The story speaks for itself».
One question should interest many fans of the two tech heavyweights: who has the best chance of winning the fight?
Musk wants to score with this special fighting move
Although Zuckerberg recently won his first medals in a jiu-jitsu tournament and is considerably younger than Musk, his height could be an advantage for the company founder. Musk also stated on the Full Send Podcast that he was involved in “real hardcore street fighting” growing up in South Africa.
In addition, the Tesla boss shared on Twitter about his fighting skills: “I have a great grip that I call ‘the walrus’. I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.” Probably not the last joke in this bizarre confrontation.
