On Friday afternoon, the police rang a family of four in Bedfont, a suburb of London. Reason: At school, they were afraid that 11-year-old Maja W.* had not shown up for class.
When the police gain entry, the officers are presented with a gruesome picture: the whole family is dead in the house – killed by a sharp object. Mother Monika W.* (35) and Dawid (†3) were murdered together with their daughter.
No third parties are sought
The police also find father Michal W.* (39) dead in the house – apparently he is the main suspect. The police said they are not looking for third parties in connection with the murder.
A police spokeswoman said: “Our investigation is at a very early stage and we are not currently looking for anyone else involved in the incident. However, we remain open about the circumstances leading up to these four tragic deaths.”
“It’s a Shock”
A woman whose daughter was in the same class as Maja tells “Sky News” that it was “a wonderful family”. “The family is very nice, normal and very hardworking”. The parents were very good people, the mother was a cleaner in a hotel, the father was a construction worker, I believe.”
Actually, the family had wanted to travel to Mallorca to celebrate Michal’s birthday. “Dream holidays” were planned, family friends say to British media. A friend says, “It’s a shock. The little boy was so cute, he would have come to preschool in a few months.”
