It is currently unknown if there were any passengers in the submarine and, if so, how many there would be

A submarine that regularly transports tourists see the remains of the Titanic went missing in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean off the east coast of the US, forcing the Boston Coast Guard to launch a search and rescue operation.

The Coast Guard confirmed to the British channel BBC that the operation had begun, although for now it is not known if there were any passengers on the submarine and, if any, how many.

From time to time, various companies offer submarine tours to see the remains of the Titanic, which is located at a depth of about 3,800 meters and at a distance of about 640 kilometers from the Canadian island of Newfoundland. The multi-day trips to the sinking area costs several tens of thousands of small dollars and includes a descent to the wreck, which takes about eight hours.

One of those companies Ocean Gate Expeditionshe recently announced on his website and social networks that an expedition that will go to see the remains of the Titanic “he ran.” On June 14, the company announced on Twitter that it was using the communications company Starlink to keep communications open with the Titanic-bound expedition.

The company’s website advertises seven-day trips to see the wreck of the Titanic, priced at about 250,000 dollars.

The shipwreck occurred in 1912 and resulted in more than 1,500 deaths, although the remains of the wreck were not found until 1985.
