Zelenskyy thanks Western partners for further military aid Situation in Sudan increasingly disastrous – nearly 25 million people in need of humanitarian aid

Amid the ongoing Ukrainian counter-offensive, President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Western partners for continued military assistance. In his video address on Saturday, Selenskyj also explicitly mentioned Germany, which had just announced the delivery of another 64 Patriot air defense missiles to the attacked country. “Germany, thank you (…) for your continued strength to protect lives from Russian missile terror,” the Ukrainian head of state said.

Flood assistance

Zelenskyy also thanked all countries and organizations that support Ukraine in coping with the consequences of the floods following the destruction of the Kakhovka dam.

In the heavily flooded southern region of Kherson, the death toll continued to rise for about a week and a half after the disaster. The Ukrainian authorities reported 16 dead on Saturday night, the Russian occupiers across the Dnipro River 29. Dozens of residents are still missing.

Ukraine accuses Russia of deliberately blowing up the dam, and many international experts also think it likely. Moscow denies that.
