The 22-year-old injured in the deadly attack at Neuschwanstein Castle is still in hospital.
“We cannot say when she will be released,” the responsible prosecutor, Thomas Hörmann, told Bayerischer Rundfunk on Friday. She sustained bruises and a bruised head in the fall.
A 30-year-old American is suspected of pushing the woman and her one-year-younger girlfriend down a slope at the Marien Bridge in Schwangau (Ostallgäu district), which is popular with tourists. The 21-year-old died in hospital.
The suspect is in jail for murder and attempted murder. Detectives suspect an attempted sex crime. With regard to the latter, the investigation should be awaited, according to the public prosecutor. Reliable information about this could not yet be given. Researchers continue to ask tourists to submit photos and videos.
