Has Musk Discussed His ‘Peace Plan’ With Putin?

Elon Musk (51) has spread a controversial “peace plan” for Ukraine on Twitter. In it, he said, among other things, that Ukraine should renounce the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia – and hold UN-controlled referenda in occupied territories. Musk is now said to have spoken with Vladimir Putin (70) before the plan was published.

According to “Vice”, which refers to political consultancy Eurasia Group, Musk discussed with the Kremlin chief before the tweets. The head of the Eurasia Group, Ian Bremmer (52), referred in a message to the clients of the political consultancy to information from Elon Musk himself, Musk is said to have told him about the conversation with Putin.

Last talks with Putin reportedly 18 months ago

The boss of Tesla and Space-X strongly disagrees with the report. Musk responded to the question on Twitter that it is correct that he has spoken with Putin. But: “I only spoke to Putin once, and that was about a year and a half ago. It was about space.”

However, Bremmer resisted, tweeting: “Elon Musk told me he spoke directly to Putin and the Kremlin about Ukraine. He also told me what the Kremlin’s red lines are.”

Aside from the tweet, Musk has not responded to the allegation. However, his ‘peace plan’ had attracted much criticism.

Even Selenski shoots at Musk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (44) himself was also ridiculed. Selenski did his own research on Twitter: “Which Elon Musk do you prefer?” Possible answers: “Someone who supports Ukraine” or “Someone who supports Russia”. (EU)
